Friday September 23 marked the grand opening of Ballybunion Park, the newest addition to the Pinehurst National community. All National residents were invited to an open house celebration hosted by Tri-City, Inc., developer of Ballybunion. Tri-City representatives, Ken and Claudia Robinette and their son Neil, were on hand to welcome attendees and to treat them to Ken’s famous barbeque with all the trimmings. A bounce house kept children busy, as adults visited and checked out color renderings of all the various home plans and landscape options.
With approximately 80 National residents and guests in attendance, Rick Finnin of the NPOA board had the honor of “cutting the ribbon” to officially open the park. The park is a delightful, open and inviting green space of approximately one acre in the middle of the Ballybunion neighborhood. It was designed by Danny Goins of the THG Architectural Group from Roanoke Virginia. Although off the beaten path for many residents, the park is open to all National residents to share and enjoy with friends and family. If you missed the opening celebration, stop by on your next walk or drive through the neighborhood and check it out.
